Re: Pro version 12 Issue
Sean, Have you tried changing the 3D View Setting/Use Software Renderer to see if it makes any difference? If set to "No" swap that to "Yes". (see the screenshot of Program Options) If that doesn't help, then mhackney (on this forum) might be able to help. He invited Mac users to post any questions ...

Re: Aspire Version 12 is OUT NOW 🎉
Ok I see what you mean now. You only mentioned pasting not copying. Using Ctrl-C is so ingrained that I did that and then used the other two methods for pasting. That way always works. It's not until you copy and paste both from the right click menu that it behaves that way. I did the same. Wasn’t ...

Re: Aspire Version 12 is OUT NOW 🎉
I’m seeing what you are reporting. If I select items that are on different Layers, then use the right-click Copy and Paste menu, those items “forget” what Layers they were on originally and end up pasted to whatever Layer is active at the time. Also confirmed what you observed when using the Ctrl-C ...

Re: curving a rail sweep in Z?
Ummmm - just thinking about it again, yes, there IS a way to get a varied "Z" axis component I will go find the tutorial Maybe you’re thinking of something like a “wavy flag”? Two vertical Rails plus a horizontal undulating “wavy” sweep vector. That yields a component with varied Z, but the Rails a...

In lieu of Cut/Copy/Paste icons, you can either use keyboard shortcuts or select the item(s) you want, then right-click your mouse button to show the menu with those functions instantly available.

Re: 3D Finish Toolpath problem
Did you select and specify the Finish Toolpath to your vector boundary (the circle boundary around the dished area) you created?

Re: Collie using new Sketchcarve feature
Glad to help.
When you do the VCarve Toolpath, you may get a pop-up warning for possible overlaps in the vectors, etc. You can just click the “Continue Anyway” and all should be fine.

Re: Collie using new Sketchcarve feature
I see why you couldn't easily use the cropping on something like this to get rid of the unwanted background. In this case, your bitmap is really just a black and white line drawing, and doesn't require the use of the Sketchcarve tool to get a good result. What I did to get a nice rendition of your b...

Re: Collie using new Sketchcarve feature
The cropping of the bitmap should have worked (I.e., eliminated any border around it). Can you upload the bitmap here please?

Re: Collie using new Sketchcarve feature
Try cropping the bitmap with a circle vector, prior to using the Sketchcarve feature. (That should get rid of the bitmap rectangle background.)

Re: vector boundary
Did you select the Component before using the Create Boundary tool? If so, then it should work!
