California, in all it's great wisdom  has outlawed the sale of Denatured Alcohol.
Good grief.

Re: Copying toolpaths/job layout

Hi Nick, Perhaps the easiest way is to open the original file(s) and re-save each file as New-Layout-blah-blah.crv Then, change the job dimensions as required and move the components around to arrange as you like. Delete any that won’t fit in the new job size, then recalculate the Toolpaths for the ...

Re: Question about sanding top immediately after carving?

Hi Kristen, That sealer is water-based and I would not recommend it. Best sealer I’ve found over the years is the 50/50 mix of Zinnser Bulls Eye SealCoat and Denatured alcohol. Because the Zinnser SealCoat is nothing more than a high-quality clear de-waxed shellac, it is superb for sealing (thinned ...

Re: Question about sanding top immediately after carving?

Me too, Steve. I mention that in all the PDF tutorials of the free Vectric projects in the “Finishing” section. Also, I often mention applying light coats of Krylon Gloss and then Krylon Satin or Flat over the prior sealed (and/or painted) surface before applying a glaze/stain. I don’t usually use s...

Re: Question about sanding top immediately after carving?

Hi Kristen,

What product did you use for the Sealer?

What product (brand and name of stain) did you you use to apply over the sealer?

Re: Logo along Curve?

That looks good like that. I understood (or misunderstood) he wanted it wrapped all the way ‘round.

Your way is best, if the OP wants to keep the logo intact.

Re: Logo along Curve?

Hi, This logo design as-is doesn’t lend itself very well for wrapping around that area between the two circle boundaries. If I had “free reign” to wrap it, I would first put the stylized “S” in the center circle (enlarged). Then, I would place/wrap the word “Signature” on the top arc area, then plac...

Re: line drawings

Hi Jeff, The best way to do this is not convert line drawings to a bitmap at all. In fact, the process is normally the other way around (converting bitmap drawings to nice, clean vectors). So, if your drawings are already “good” vectors, all you need to do is import the vectors and assign a Profile ...
