Pocket toolpath allowance
If I set a POCKET toolpath with an allowance of - .003, does that mean -.003 on all sides? Effectively making the pocket .006 larger?

Cnc Monopoly board
Completed this Monopoly board this past Christmas for the grandkids. After reading lots of forum questions for tips, especially font tooling feeds and speeds. Cut on a Shopbot Desktop using the tiling tool path.

Re: Changing Tile sizes in the middle of carving
I didn’t get a response to my question and just forged ahead after sleeping on it. You can change the number of tiles, you just have to remember to adjust your zero axis to the size of the tiles you have chosen, even if you don’t move the material.

Changing Tile sizes in the middle of carving
I am creating a Monopoly board for my grandkids. I original set up a tiling tool path for two (2) tiles 11,1/4" each. Because my board isn't "dead flat" the middle section of tile 1 isn't cutting deep enough. (My Shopbot Desktop is 24x18) I had setup a location holes 11,1/4" apart. I wasn't able to ...

wood question
I am planning to make a monopoly board for my granddaughter. Using a 15degree v bit for the fonts, what wood is recommended? I've considered maple plywood because it is already flat. (so not too much machining) Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Bookpile Box Michael Tyler
To Michael Tyler Michael, IMG_4257.jpeg IMG_4258.jpeg I have been telling my wife for months that I was going to make the "Bookpile Box". Well I got around to making it. It was a challenge in some respects, but what I took away from the project is that you are a "genius" to come up with the ideas fo...

Re: index holes while using tiling toolpath
Thanks again, I do have 24x18, but 2 pieces are 34" long. I think I have my tool paths figured for the least amount of tool changes. All info is good info, thanks. Mike

Re: index holes while using tiling toolpath
I think I figured it out. I chose the exact location of the first set of holes, made a new project of same size, then made 3 (three) 12" tiles. Second set of holes at 12" from first set and third set at 6" from the second set. I will then be able to cut all 4 holes in tile 2. Hope that makes sense. ...

index holes while using tiling toolpath
I am making a project that is 36" in length. My cutting surface is 24x X 18y. I am using the tiling tool path in the Y direction, using 2 18" tiles. My first set of indexing holes (for dowels) are 2" up in "Y". How do I cut the second set of index holes at 20" in "Y" since that tool path goes to til...
