Re: Wish
I have additional suggestions/questions that I will be submitting over the next several days. Thank you for all your suggestions, we will look through them more thoroughly and see what we could implement. To answer some of your questions, Object Deletion: CadLayer has a function to RemoveObject, Ca...

Re: Menu/buttton size are small
Aspire & VCarve 11.5 are not DPI aware which means that the system handles the scaling of the entire app when it's on the non-default DPI scaling settings. Assuming you're doing the comparison between VCarve and Aspire both on the laptop, is it possible that you have scaled / overridden the scaling ...

Re: V11.5 Custom Tool Variables Issue
Hi Mohamed Can you please guide if there has any more progress with this issue I am keen to make use of it as described in the 11.5 video. Thanks :) We're just in the process of testing and refining our changes and will be releasing it in the next patch. So now variables added in any tool will appe...

Re: 11.5 Laser Problem
We've made some changes to the laser burn rate so that it is more correctly related to the actual feed rate of the tool (at 100% power) and not just a guessing exercise. However, the majority of the time spent implementing this was in ensuring the values you used in v11.0 were "translated" to new va...

Re: VCarve Pro 11
Did you run the migration step from v11.5 to copy over your tool database, machine association files and other settings? You can do that by going to v11.5's Help menu -> 'Migrate from Older Version'. As Adrian said, the extension of the post-processor may have changed and just to double check you're...

Re: Crash #7192
We're having a few issues reported from WinTab (used for tablet support) for people with the XP-Pen tablet drivers installed. The only workaround at the moment seems to be uninstalling or disabling the drivers (which I realise is far from ideal), but we have found a fix for this and we're working on...

Re: V11.5 Custom Tool Variables Issue
At the moment, they're just custom naming variables. Having it accessible from the Job Sheets would make a lot of sense, I've recorded that for future consideration, thank you!

Re: V11.5 Custom Tool Variables Issue
I have to agree with qldsteve, I created the variables Up Cut(Up), Down Cut(Dn), and Compression(Comp) for my 1/4" end mill so I can, as described in the v11.5 video, apply the variables where I want. I'm not sure how you're imagining this to work or perhaps I'm misinterpreting this. The way I'd im...

Re: V11.5 Custom Tool Variables Issue
I vote on it being a documentation deficiency. 😉 I think that is a deficiency or perhaps isn't clear so we'll clarify this and fix the documentation, what we probably meant was that you can include that custom variable in the tool's name which you can then choose to update all tools with the same t...

Re: Sculpting both sides trick???
Sorry to disappoint you John. Sculpting in two-sided sounds interesting though, may I ask how you would imagine that working please? At the moment, sculpting is limited to a single component or to create one component if you're starting with a blank (unselected). I'm not sure I'm picturing how sculp...

Re: Sculpting both sides trick???
You can't sculpt both sides simultaneously but you can see the effect of your component sculpting on the full two-sided model as you're doing it when you have the 'show full model' option on and two-sided view is toggled on. I'll try to make a video when we're in the office (but I can't promise it'l...

Re: Sculpting both sides trick???
So you still only sculpt the component you've selected on the active side but you can toggle the two-sided view while you're in sculpting mode and see the result there and you can continue sculpting in that mode. The result will still be applied to the selected component on the active side.

Re: 11.5 speed test
Best to make sure the short time actually contains a quality set of instructions. Just to clarify, the improvements made (and probably the times reported) will be the time it takes to calculate the toolpath within the software and not the time it takes to run the toolpath on the machine / toolpath ...

To add to Adrian's response, specifically make sure you've either migrated or backed up your tool database online.
