Exactly what Adrian said. Any sections or variables you add to the derived post will override / replace the ones in the base post.

Re: trouble downloading the newest version of aspire

The 10.016 installers should have been on the portal by now. If they're not, you can download the patch executable directly from here https://storage.googleapis.com/storage.vectric.com/patches/v10_0/Aspire/patches/Aspire_patch_to_v10016.exe Just run this directly, or if that doesn't work, copy this ...

Re: How to move/rotate part in double sided job

Yes, thats the way I do it! But I can not understand why I can not select ALL on both sides. I would only like to know why Vectric does not offer this possibility. Just wanted to be sure that I didn't miss anything. Thanks for your contribution. Jan I'm afraid you haven't missed anything. The probl...

Re: How to move/rotate part in double sided job

There is a workaround (a bit manual but could be less involved than moving things across sides. This makes use of our ability to snap to vectors / key points on the other side if the opposite side is visible. 1. For the side with the larger vectors (let's assume it's the top side), create a bounding...

Re: "Group Create" Icon

There is currently a plan to reform groups a little bit to add some of those intuitive operations that we missed for V10. I say "plan" because we've not entirely specified internally what we'll do on this subject, but i just thought I'd let you know :) Your input is greatly appreciated and will be t...

Re: Gadgets installation

I believe sometimes IE renames the downloaded file to be .zip, so just rename it back to .vgadget (Don't unzip it). Either use the 'Install Gadget' as suggested or you could drag the file into an open instance of Aspire (like you do to import models). Note the version as well for the page you're dow...

Re: setup is in inches, but gcode is mm

I won't be near my machine for a few days and wonder what the implication of this is as far as what gets carved? Will the inches get converted to the proper mm number or does it assume the number being used is in mm which would result in smaller than expected carves? If you have an inch job / toolp...

Re: Array Tool

Michael, thanks for the link. That is a very helpful training video. This is the first time I have tried to array copy the egg and dart border, the problem is this item cannot have a space between copies. I don't have any problems using array copy otherwise. Ill keep playing with it and thanks again...

Re: Estimated Processing Times

Normally, when switching the units of the job, the toolpaths will account for that and so you'll end up with the same toolpath after a recalculation without having to readjust / convert the values yourself. Texture Toolpath seems to not do that for some reason, so we'll take a look at this to see wh...

This does no occur in previous versions. It...

Re: V10 Apply tool path to all sheets the new way

This is very strange. Please send the file and the template to our support team and we'll take a look. I've tried to reproduce this on a simple example (V-Carve toolpath with 3 EndMill clearance tools) in 10.010 and 10.011 and I couldn't. We are aware of an issue when using this type of toolpath tem...

Re: Finding open spot in large vector

A slightly different way (in V10) (not necessarily better) would be to select the open vectors (Edit menu, Selection, Select All Open Vectors) and then Node-Edit (Press N). From within the tool, you can close or join or delete any of those vectors as desired.
