two rail sweep
Greetings, I am trying to create a toolpath to cut a round peg on each end of a board as a two-sided project. The only way I can get it to cut round is to allow a 1.125" boundary offset. The problem is that it cuts into the flat part of the board and deeper that the round peg. How do I fix this? Tha...

Re: 2-rail sweep help
The top profile of the shape is on the left. That is for my reference only. The tick marks, likewise, are for my measurements and not used. I've removed the reference marks and included the dimensions. I can't figure out how to get rid of the hump. I can always sand it out,but would rather have my C...

2-rail sweep help
Greetings All,
I am trying to create a component with a 2-rail sweep. There is a hump (see image) at the transition of 90 degrees to curved. I can't get rid of the hump. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bob

Re: VCarve G code
Thanks,
I was just having a major brain fart. All I need to do is to jog the 4th axis 180 degrees using the pendant, then run my toolpath.

Re: VCarve G code
Actually, I only need to rotate the piece one time 180 degrees prior to my last milling operation. The last milling operation is not rotary, so I was wondering if I could just run a tap file that would rotate the piece exactly 180 degrees, then run my last tap file. I just don't know how to write a ...

Re: VCarve G code
Actually, my job is set up so Y values are wrapped around X. The midpoint of my Y would be 180. That's not what I want. I want to insert a Gcode at the start of the tap file that will rotate the stock 180 degrees, drill my holes, insert another G code at the end to return it to the original position...

Greetings All, I am an absolute novice when it comes to 4th axis stuff. I am using a CNC Shark 4th axis and Vcarve Pro 9.0. I am trying to machine a piece of round stock. I'm able to create the piece using the rounding gadget and other machining using the 4th axis. I need to drill some holes in it, ...

Re: Turned Profile Gadget
Greetings All, I am having exactly the same problem with V9. The profile is very simple curves. I made sure that both vertical line started at the same y value (0) by pressing y in the node edit mode. I still get the error that the vertical ends must start at the same y value. Please help. Re: V9 Gadgets
This is the first version of Vcarve Pro I have purchased. I purchased it partly because of the gadgets and 4th axis toolpaths. It use useless to me until i can get the turned profile gadget.
