Re: Aspire and Material Settings Question?

If you mean as a material image then you need an image of the material you want to add and then click Add New Texture at the top of the Material Settings/Appearance list.

Re: how to open a vcarve vector

You also can select the vector, once highlighted, mouse over the segment you want to remove and hit the shortcut "D" key to remove the segment between the nodes. This also works if you hold the mouse over any of the nodes. Use "I" to insert a node also. There is a page in the help file that shows al...

Re: Limit Switch

I've ran dry run of your files on my DeskTop with x,y,z, zero in lower left corner.
All 3 of your tool paths ran without errors.
Upload the sbp file as Randall suggested.
Zip the file before uploading.

Re: 2022 - Graphics tablet recommendation?

Both Michael Tyler and Michael Mezalick are a wealth of knowledge.
M. Tyler scanned a table leg that I was able to recreate on an indexer for a customer a few years ago. And I've personally met M. Mezalick at a sign camp, and gained a lot of knowledge from. Thanks Mike and Mike!!!

Re: 2022 - Graphics tablet recommendation?

I purchased Wacom One tablet 3 weeks ago. I have unboxed it and used it a bit. It's my first time with a tablet and it will take me a while to get used to it. But I hope to find time to dive in to learning it. Everything I read and watch say once you get used to the pen you'll never go back to the m...

Re: Wavy flag for my grandson in Marines.

Hey Les, That's probably the best execution of the waving Flag with the Marine Corps Seal. Nicely done. I see you filled in the stars.. Did you give any thought about filling in the Vcarving on the seal?? That would been a hard decision, I really like how it looks. The wave has just the right height...

Model Surface Profile using a line

I'm using Aspire Ver8.5. There was/is a feature that if you'd lay/draw a straight line across a model like you were going to split the model or component. Instead of it splitting the model it gave you the profile of the surface along that line. I've looked through the tutorial but haven't found anyt...

Re: Short Time lapse video of a cut

Hey Tim,
Great looking video. What is the plywood oval/elipse at the edge of the table? this a locating lip or edge?
I also noticed about 3-4 seconds in during the first tool change, the camera shook? was that an earth quake?

Great Job

Would it be possible to upload the file?
Have you made sure there are no duplicate vectors?

When you used the 0.125 bit did you re-zero accurately?

Re: Knife handles

It's rare that your scan will come out 1 to 1 ratio. Your real close to what I think your after. Use (N)ode edit mode and move the nodes around until they fit like you want them to. While in node mode try to get rid of as many nodes as possible. Once the vectors are to your liking. Group all vectors...
