Re: Configuring CAmaster Stinger 1SR-24
I have a Camaster SR-23 and would suggest to wait until your CNC arrives. You will have some questions best answered by their Tech support at Camaster. And if you have FTC they will show you how it works. Another suggestion would to ask you questions on camheads.org a very good forum to get Camaster...

Re: Pocket depth issue when using multiple bits
Thanks for the info on the air lift. Learning all time thanks for your information, much appreciated.
I'm not sure where I heard the info about the air assist, maybe salesman at CAMaster. Thanks again for the info, I learn a lot on this forum.

Re: Pocket depth issue when using multiple bits
Yes, I'm sure that is not the issue, I was just not thinking clearly about the issue. There is no movement at the Z ball screw this is a very ridged machine unlike my previous CNC machine. I believe that wood movement is going to happen and we must deal with it. The problem I was seeing when making ...

Re: Pocket depth issue when using multiple bits
I did not contact CAMheads , I just tried different feeler gauge sizes until I was happy with it. Still not sure if the airlift pressure (Z lift) is a possible issue. I was told to set at 25 lbs.
Looking forward to your results and changes you make.
Dan
Yes I was only using 1/4 and 1/16

Re: Pocket depth issue when using multiple bits
I also have a Stinger 1 and had a issue using 1/4 EM first cut and 1/16 for clean up on (stacked text plaque) that it appeared to be carving deeper, I have the FST for bit changing so I tried to fool the system by inserting a .005 feeler gauge between the bit and FST button and for me it made the di...

Re: Text-on-Text "Shadow"
HI, I had this issue on my stacked text when using a 1/16 bit also. I have a Camaster with FTC that each time the file calls for a different bit it will zero the bit on a pad after I install a new bit in the spindle. The solution for me was to put a .005 feeler gauge between the 1/16 bit and the pad...
