Re: Tool Library and Tool Numbers
Thanks for the info Steve. After some reading, I've decided to change out workflow and utilize ToolpathTemplates.

Tool Library and Tool Numbers
Sorry if this has already been asked before. We are a manufacture and have 100s of template files where our tool numbers are all 0. Although I've gone in and adjusted my tool database with the appropriate tool numbers, it appears I need to alter every template file because the tool information is im...

Post Processor question
The post processor files located in the Application Data Folder are all text files that appear to have formatting rules that control some aspects of the generated g-code. My question is, is there some magic that happens behind the scenes where the post processor I select actually generates different...

Re: Hit a wall?
I did not originally see that thread. Thanks for replying.
It's a shame that the LUA API does not cover this. We are a sign manufacturer and design 6 - 20 signs/day. I was hoping to help automate this process to some degree.

Hit a wall?
I'm automating a process with LUA script in a gadget and think I have just hit a wall. After reading through the API docs, I see no way to draw text. Does that API not support this?
Thanks,
Tony

Tony

Re: What is causing this issue
Here is a file with the issue. It's slightly different but is experiencing similar clipping issues. I was able to get beyond the issue by using the "Curve Fit" tool and selecting the "Bezier Curves" option. This got be by for now but it would be nice not to have to perform the extra steps. Thanks, T...

What is causing this issue
I'm on version 9.509 of VCarve PRO and am seeing a strange error in tool path generation. It appears my arcs are getting clipped and the output is unacceptable. Not sure how to fix. Here is a screen shot showing the nodes and tool path. I've made sure the arcs where perfect circles as a starting poi...

Lock layer feature request
It would be nice to be able to lock a layer from positional moves but still allow you to select it for toolpath operations. I can't tell you how many time I have to leave a layer unlocked so I can select the elements and then inadvertently move elements using the arrow keys when switching to Mach3.

Re: VCarve Pro & Desktop v9.5 are here!
Having a few issues with 9.5. We carve lots of signs. Several of our templates are not evaluating the same as they did in 9.0 which is causing a fare amount of re-work. Although I love the new text which keep the transformations, kerning seems a little different and I almost want a forget transform ...

Re: Conquering Fuzzies in Construction Pine
Hi Ted, I've been reading your post and am interested in your thoughts. Over the course of the last couple years, I started down the CNC path. Started with a smaller home built baltic birch frame and am now using an 8020 4x8 platform. My router is 2.2k 3-phase/220 liquid cooled. Late last year, I ca...

Re: Feature request
I'm not sure if this is a defect/bug or if I need to just make a request. After placing text, followed by a rotation or scale of that text, when I go to edit the text, the text is placed back into its original/horizontal orientation. I then have to re-orient the text. It would be nice if I could ed...

V99 API Documentation
I've written some pretty extensive LUA scripts on 8.5 and would like to take advantage of the double sided features in V9.
When will new API documentation for V9 be made available?
Thanks,
Tony
