Re: Corian clock
Nice work! I usually cut a pocket from the back side in the shape of the clock works to allow for a short stem.

Re: Vectric or Enroute
Forgive me if I missed it but what do you plan to do with your machine? That is a large table so I assume you have an idea how you plan to use it. If Vectric software will produce the product you need, I can promise you will be up and running at a fast pace. I'm only familiar with Vectric products s...

Re: Cutting poster board
I cut paper and poster board with a laser engraver after performing the steps stated by garylmast. It would be great if you have someone in your area with a laser engraver. The results are hard to beat.

Re: Vcarve suitable for laser engraving??
I use Vcarve files all the time, but I use the export to EPS procedure stated in the earlier post. I import it into any program that works with my Epilog laser printer driver. I have not read the other laser with Vcarve posts, but I am curious to see how you can make a printer driver for a home made...

I'm about 40 mikes south of Houston. What type of activities do you have in mind?

Re: Glue for corian and plywood
I used contact cement on one of my projects. It worked fine. I was using hardwood not plywood. I don't know if it's the best option, just what I had in the shop.

Re: New and Unique Type of Lithophane
I really like the result! I have access to a laser engraver and have tried various projects on it. That laser doesn't require a G-code file though. It's more like sending a file to a printer. I am not an expert so maybe I can send G-Code to it, I just don't know how. I don't understand how you mount...

Re: One ugly face!
I got into creating things on a CNC router by mistake. My project was to build a cnc machine, my first thought was a plasma. I decided to go with a router because I didn't want to burn my house down. My plan was to build it, test it, then sell it. During my search for software, I found this forum. I...

Re: VCP is dropping letters
This happens to me when I try to run files that include (high detail) graphic and text in one tool path. It goes away if I process the text file as a separate tool path. I never thought to post it as I just moved on after it was corrected. Thanks for asking the question. I will be watching for addit...
