Re: Aspire Version 12 is OUT NOW 🎉

When I do this, all the items I'm pasting go directly to the current layer. If I use the Ctrl V or go under the Edit in the Menu then click on Paste, all the items I am pasting go to the correct layer. Can you clarify what the expected behavior is - what layer you mean when you say "all the items I...

Re: PM's

Some forum software has sent messages stuck in your outbox until the recipient has read it.

I'm not sure if that's the same here.

Re: First Look at VCarve Pro v12!

Clarification on keep out zones. Becky says in this video (link below) (~3:00) that the software won't let toolpaths save if they violate the keep out zones. I did a quick test and can confirm this. V12 does not seem to re-route toolpaths to avoid keep out zones (where possible - i.e. move to comman...

Re: Grbl in trial version

Apologies, I didn't connect the trial version and saving toolpaths...apparently it can only export the tutorial files - so try one of them.

Re: Grbl in trial version

Once you have the right postprocessor, you create toolpaths and save them: https://docs.vectric.com/docs/V10.5/VCarvePro/ENU/Help/form/Save%20Toolpaths/index.html#:~:text=Save%20Option&text=Select%20the%20toolpath%20to%20save,the%20Save%20Toolpath(s)%20button (this documentation is version 10.5, but...

Re: Grbl in trial version

I don't know anything about your MYSWEETY, but a quick search yields this thread: https://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?t=33774 You likely just need to find the right GRBL post processor and send that code to your machine. Vectric doesn't (AFAIK) interface directly with the machine, you need somet...

Re: VCarve Pro & Carbide Create

I don't know carbide create, but is it possible you told VCarve to zero off the top of the material, but are actually zeroing off the bed of the machine (or vise versa)?

Re: bugged up broken software.

Sounds like a lot going on here.

If possible upload your CRV file so others can help you? The software does tend to be very reliable; however it's complex - sometimes its just an overlooked setting or whatnot that is driving you nuts.

Re: Please Help.

Ok, so I took your original file, selected everything, created a profile toolpath, selected a 30* V bit, chose "ON" (important), and set the depth to whatever...that works.

What are you trying to do?

Re: Please Help.

Not sure how you made this, but there are a lot of overlapping single lines (if I'm seeing this correctly). Go up to the top left square. Go into node edit mode (press n). Then delete the left vertical segment of the first square. You'll see that there is still a line (vector?) there. What are you t...

Re: What's New in V12?

Vectric usually provides teasers (I believe 1 / week or something like that) leading up to the actual release date. Nothing released yet besides viewtopic.php?t=43096 which was a teaser for teasers.

Keep your eyes peeled!

Re: Bench Dog hole size?

Really depends on the dogs (dowels) you are using. At that that tolerance the bit diameter may also come into play.

Best thing to do is to do some test cuts and decide what works for you with the real variables (specific bit, specific dowel/dog).
