fading
I have been attempting to fade a component (Aspire 8.5) and when I choose the component and check "fade" and "set", and the click on the component, the entire project changes axis as I move the curser, rather than showing a line defining the direction of fade. Any suggestions (while waiting to upgra...

Nesting and view
i am attempting my 1st nesting work and am cutting fairly small (3"X5") pieces with tabs. When I preview the toolpath, the view shows sporadic places around the piece cutting through the work and is pixilated due to the enlargement, I suppose. I have increased the view from standard to 7X, but the v...

importing PhotoVCarve
I have both PhotoVCarve and Aspire, and have been wondering if there is an easy way to use the toolpaths from PVC without resetting the starting point (If I have a 3X3 inch PVC project and want to place it in a 10X12 inch Aspire project near the right side, I stop Aspire and reset the origin and ope...

Re: Clear area inside/outside
yep drew a square vector bordering the scene and inside the frame...clicked on the scene and held the shift key down while clicking on the square vector line. Did the same with the frame and vector... didn't work.

Clear area inside/outside
I've decide to make some frames and thought it would be quicker to use a larger bit and just offset cut the frame separately from the scene. However, when I start with a frame and design a scene inside, I have been unable to separate the two... (draw a square around the scene, choose it and the scen...

Using 3D view for designing
I seem to remember (or was it imagine  ) a way to use the more detailed view of the 3D model to use some of the drawing tools. I am attempting to use a smaller .125 bit in several specific areas of a model (facial areas) instead of a .250 bit but the height map in the 2D view is too vague t...

Re: Happy Valentines Day
I posted it before I cut it out, due to the closeness of Valentines Day. I've cut it and and have changed it slightly. The bottom of the frame has been shortened and the cutout of the heart makes a perfect base. I just made vertical cuts at the narrowest part of the heart and it fits perfectly on th...

Happy Valentines Day
Just finished designing this for Valentines Day. (That's the day we celebrate the life of a martyr by attempting to give our loved ones enough candy to turn them into diabetics  ). It's designed for an acrylic insert and an LED strip. The frame has a front and reverse cutout for the LED str...

measuring curves
I am needing to form curved slots with various lengths and have been unable to find a simple way to do this. Is there a way to draw a line and edit it with beziers and still retain the original length?
Thanks much
