Re: Owl Carve
Very nice carve. Can I ask where you got the model? I did a similar carve a while back but the owl was not nearly as nice as yours.

Re: Another inlaid crib board
That is beautiful work, Russel! Of course, everything I have ever seen of yours is masterfully done. A question for you on your inlay process; with that many small pieces do you glue them in all at once, maybe using a press, or do you do them in stages? I also love the colors/species of wood you us...

Re: photo conversion
Depends on the required result. As mentioned in other posts there is no simple conversion from picture to a 3d-object to be carved. A single picture just does not contain the spatial information. But if you want to just replicate the picture visually (besides Photo-Vcarve) you can create a height m...

Re: Glue 2 pieces of Corian
Do you glue the rough sides together? Clean with alcohol? Also did you cover the entire surfaces, with glue? I don't have much to spare, just want to get it the first time. Thanks again. olf20 / Bob Yeah, I do “back to back” read rough side when gluing up. I have stacked 3 pieces where you cant avo...

Re: Looking for Garden Project ideas
I dont have it fully designed yet, but I’m working on a new garden gate that will say
“Welcome to the Garden of Weedin”
You could make a small plaque, maybe with some weeds on it?
Just a thought……

Re: Router Recommendation
You might want to give this a look. I just bought the 3.25hp version to replace my PC in my router table. Its very quiet, uses ER 20 collets(a big plus imho) and seems to be a very capable replacement for the PC router. Scroll dow a bit to see just the router vs router & table packages . https://www...

Re: clipart tab
I like to keep my boot disk as clean as possible so I moved all of the clipart from the default folder (C:\Users\Public\Documents\Vectric Files\Clipart) to a folder on my data drive. I also keep previous versions of clipart, Design and Make clipart and any other accumulated clipart in the same fold...

Re: Bird Bath
That is an awesome job you did on the birdbath molds! The question that immediately popped into my mind was; since you already have the vectors drawn for the two mold halves why not just glue up some Corian and carve the birdbath as a two sided job? I can hear my better half now…you want to put WHAT...
