Vectric software with Gravograph?

Is there anyone using aspire or v-carve with a gravograph M40 engraving machine? I'm thinking of adding one of theese to my machine park and it would be good to be able to use the same program for all my machines.

Re: cutting disc

As an owner of a chineese machine I´d guess that the machine is not square, did you cross measure your squares?

Re: A simple question

I do always change the order of the clearance and the v-carve pass, mainly because the larger tool has a tendence to tear out splinters that reaches outside the carved area, especially in pine and birch.

Re: Carved "retro " sign

Wow, that is a really cool sign, is the texture behind the letters just lines carved with a v-bit. What paint did you use for the chrome-letters?

Re: Sponsor signs

Thank you all. I´m not sure what kind of cedar this is as cedar is not a native species to Finland, it is sold to me as western red cedar and imported from Canada, my customer claims that it is redwood. It is very light and doesnt smell very good. Maybe someone out there can identify it from the att...

Re: font question

Thanks guys, this time I solved it by switching fontstyle completely. I used googles "Fondamento". For those of you that haven´t yet discovered Google fonts; have a look, it is a good resource, not to many, not too few and free to use. Re: Looking for a name sign for a boat

Thanks I didn´t know they were called quarterboards, however I didn´t find the one I were looking for, I belive that the original was handcarved and that someone had replicated it with aspire. I don´t remember the name of the boat either. I´m looking for the design, if someone´s already made it in a...

Looking for a name sign for a boat

Hi I remember seeing a rather decorative name sign for a ship or a boat. I think it was on this forum but I´m not sure. It had some decorative swirls at both ends and a blue bottom for the text which was guilded(as I remember it), it might have been an old sign that was replicated with Aspire. Is th...

Re: I would pay to have fixed

I had a similar problem with my first Chineese CNC and we had a technician for seceral times looking up the problem, the solution was simple once we trid it- we just re-intalled the control-program that came with the CNC.

Re: Post processor for SCM 48NST AlphaCam and Xilog Plus

Hi
I use a program called winxiso to convert the output from aspire (xilog pp xxl>pgm) intoo ASCII which is the language that xilog uses, you might also have to edit the pp a bit.
winxiso should be somewhere under the xilog folder on your computer.
