I run a 43" 4K and use most of the real estate with VCarve.
So make sure your laptop has a 4k display and hdmi port?
My eyes are 53 years old, I've got a 32" monitor but nowhere near 4k resolution. It's time for an upgrade.
Ok Adrian, after reading an old thread and some googeling, I'm convinced and I'll be sticking with Svg whenever possible.
You'd think since bezier curves have been around since the 60s, Dxf would support them. viewtopic.php?t=31977
I use Svg mostly but I've had clients send me many Dxf files and I just import them, set the pocket depth and start carving without any issues. Is there a reason for the dislike of the format or is it just cnc cancel culture.
In a way this a much more complex version of the so-called "stacked text" method. As such it shares with it the need to construct vectors for the different layers to help avoid "smooshing" the wrong bits. Wow! I'm reading this thread and thinking the whole time that this issue could be solved by us...
