Re: I am at a loss 3d from greyscale

Hmm, I guess it is the nature of the greyscale then.

I guess I can mess around with it and find the smallest size I can before I run out of memory.

Now why the heck am I running out of memory. This beast has 8 gigs in it and a quad core!!!

ARGH!

Re: I am at a loss 3d from greyscale

I did take it into photo shop and reduced from 188mb to 5mb. The question is, how do I take that bitmap and do a greyscale machining on it?

Re: 3D Shire Horse wanted

Bill, that looks really good. Now trace the Shire Horse component. Copy the Bitmap texture back into the working model and cookie cut the area where the Shire horse is using the Shire Horse traced Vector. Save this bitmap texture as a component. I also use the 4X8 sheet of the pink foam from Home Depot. We get it for $7 a sheet! LOL! I use the dust collection and no issues what so ever, however, I do have the metal spiral dust rite hose which is grounded to the cyclone which is grounded to the earth ground so no static build up.

Re: Traveling by Worm Hole

Yes, the roughing pass on the stargate is nothing like a normal roughing pass. Only a couple of Z moves in the roughing path so USE A GIANT END MILL! Live and learn right? I never even noticed the slits until I unloaded it. I will pay a couple dollars more to get it from my local mom and pop shop wi...
