It was an air cooled spindle from that outfit out of Chicago and the VFD was Hitachi not Chinese but Japan. Sold all that a year or so ago so a little rusty.

FYI try going to Etsy and paying someone to do an outline sketch of the photo you provided on white paper. The ones posted here on color will not be right.

Re: MAC Use
MacBook Pro 2011 series, I ran Mach4 fine on Parallels Windows 7 Pro. I used when checking out my new home-built Workbee 1000x750. Never ran a long gcode program on it however. Getting rid of Mach3 was the big upgrade on my Saturn II Fineline Automation machine. No more issues one of which was drivi...

Re: Y & Z axis issues
I was using Mach3 since back in 2010 and had issues from time to time. I was very happy to switch to Mach4, and thousands of others more have switched to it or to Acorn which is a good replacement.

Re: Y & Z axis issues
Mach3 is buggy, and the big issue I had with it as it does not seem to clean out the caches after a forced stop or otherwise. More than once drove the Z into my work.. Switched over Mach4 and no issue. There will be people come on and defend Mach3,,, "It never happened to me!" But I can tell you Mac...

Re: Y axis different
...... How did I sync? Jogged the Y to one end within digital caliper range and then turned the power off to the stepper drivers, do not unplug the motors!! With the power off turned with my fingers the couplings where needed to align the two. Power back on do a few test moves to make sure they sta...

Re: Y axis different
What control software and control board? For my build I used Mach4 since I have used it and Mach3 for years. PMDX USB control board. I have one of my Y motors as a Slave to the other and PMDX makes sure both have the exact same Steps per unit in the setup. How did I sync? Jogged the Y to one end wit...

Its 30 seconds not 30 minutes. Vectric is about a fair and honest company as I have ever dealt with, especially as a software company.

Re: First cut on my Work Bee.
I am just finishing testing my1000x750 Work Bee. Will run a project today on it. Using Mach4, PMDX Usb control board and a Hitachi router motor with 1/2 and 1/4 inch collets available. Very impressed with the quality of the Chinese made kit, mechanical part that is, I built my own control panel and...
