Beautiful job, Excellent craftsmanship!
One question. What type of glue did you use? Corian glue or something else?

I never said I paid $1500, I said $1300 which is the current listed price for Vcarve-Pro
Simply for clarification and to prevent confusion.
The current listed price for V Carve Pro is not $1300.00. It is in fact $699.
See screen print taken a few minutes ago from the Vectric website.

Re: Dollhouse files

Does anyone know where i can obtain files for dollhouses? You can also look at https://www.ameede.com/ under the tab “Laser and CNC”. They have quite a few dollhouse plans in DXF format for free. The search however, is Name-specific and just “Dollhouse” will not yield all the plans. Here are some o...

Re: Pill box help

About speeds and feeds i will have a way to go. When I started in 2009, I also did not know anything about a CNC machine let alone what spindle speeds, feed rates or cutting depth to use. I only use Onsrud end mills, (but that is irrelevant) so I used their chip load calculator to determine cutting...

If I can use that bit, which spindle speed will then be the best?
A good starting point would be to look at a chipload calculator.
Here is an example that may be helpful.

Is there some easy way to align the 4 corner of the curve shape
You can also go into node edit. Select the two end nodes and click "Y" on the keyboard.

Re: Stuck between two models

Poor Cat…no skin left………….
Another option is to first create the base and add the texture to the base, then add the Koi.
In this example I first create the base,
downloaded a water texture image, created a component from the bitmap,
add and clipped it to the size of the base
then add the fish.

Take a look at this tutorial, it maybe helpful.

Or if the link does not work, it is the Trout 3D Modeling Video.

Re: adding model

You have posted this in the Cut3D section.
Do you refer to Cut3D or VCarve Pro?
Cut3D can also only handle one .stl at a time.

I was looking for a way to determine if I will be alerted to the fact that I am putting in to many letters before I get to preview. No, you will not be alerted. VCarve is not a word processor software. As Adrian stated you need to use the preview to see if the text will fit into your desired worksp...

Re: openbook tool setup

Here is another approach. I used an 1/4-inch Endmill and a 1/4-inch Ballnose to cut the book. I then isolated just the “side pages” with a vector and used an 1/8-inch Ballnose This option reduced the cutting time dramatically as you can see in the Toolpath Summary. The preview is your friend. My set...

Re: Any 5' x 5' CNC machines out there?

You could also take a look at Ez-Router. They make custom build, turn-key machines. After visiting their facility, I ordered a custom built (turn-key) machine from them in 2007. When it arrived in South Africa all I needed to to do was to attach the gantry with spindle, connect it to the supplied co...
