Re: SKETCHUP AND ASPIRE

Sorry to confuse anyone! Eric's software is seamless (but still a 3rd party app that runs inside of SketchUp) and works great if you have a need for importing separate items into Aspire for machining. If I was in that business, I would spend whatever it costs to do that. Eric asked a number of us to...

Re: SKETCHUP AND ASPIRE

If you want to bring in components from SketchUp, you need to talk to Eric Schimelpfenig. He has a program called Fabber that will make import easy. I played with it in Beta version and it worked well but I just don't do enough of that kind of work. I think he's got a finished version now for sale. ...

Re: What do you do while the CNC is running?

I have to go with Leo on this one! As many years as I have been running my CNC machines, I am still fascinated by seeing the bit go up and down, left and right... I always have my tablet with me out there so I do get a great deal of reading done (Kindle app). My jobs tend to go long but, even with e...

Re: Easy Bottle Carrier Maker

I'm working with a buddy of mine who is trying to start a nano-brewery so your post is very timely! Thanks for the download! I'm hoping to make different sizes available in the tasting room when it opens. I am definitely 'stealing' the 'combustible prototype' label! Here's to better health for all o...

Re: Latest Guitar Build

Ken,

Wow! The fabric idea is crazy! And if you own a direct-to-garment printer, the sky's the limit for what the design of the fabric can be... Definitely got me thinking about my next project! I'm thinking pineapple uke!!!
