Re: V-Carve hangs sometimes

I have the same problem! I will be trying to save a file and it just locks up and I have to start all over again.
Don't know why this is happening. Never did it with version 10.0

Re: out of soft

Out of soft limit means that the project you're cutting is greater than the machine can cut.
Check to make sure that the project isn't bigger than the spindle can move to.

Re: Hoping to use 1/2"-shank bits

I don't think any palm router can handle a 1/2" collet. I have 2 palm routers and have only used 1/4" bits in either of them.

Re: Lack of user manual

Just wondering how you paid $1500 for V Carve Pro? Vectric has so many help videos, and the help section while using the software probably answers 90% of any question you could possibly ask. Just my 2 cents, but you sound pissed! This forum has so many members that can answer any possible question y...

Re: Glass Door Groove for Rubber Mold

I would either use the table saw or router table to cut that slot. It would be much faster and requires minimal setup!

Re: double sided Project

I have personally found that even though I have the project piece cut perfect and copy my image to the other side and then just flip the piece, the cut still comes out off somewhat unless I use the dowel method. When I use that, I can make as many pieces as I want and they all come out spot on. I do...

Re: Do not update to a new post-processor if you had one that works!!

When upgrading from 10.0 to 10.5, is there a prompt asking if you want to upgrade your post processor?
If not, how would I keep the current PP and not use the upgraded one?
My machine is working just fine with the processor I have been using since ver 8.5!

Re: Y-axis Soft Limit Error

This message: Y-axis soft limit error is saying the you are trying to cut further than the Y axis can actually travel and the spindle or router can't move that far. As an example, if your Y travel is 24" and you are trying to cut 26".

Re: Viewing a project

Thanks for the tip. I recreated the project and deleted the old project, but will remember that tip if it ever happens again. It wasn't a hard project and only took 15 min to recreate.

Re: Viewing a project

No It's all in inches. I really don't know what happened to the file! All I know is when I open it, it's super small until I zoom in on it.
The file cuts fine, I just have to zoom in.
I checked several of my other projects and none of them act this way. Just this one.

Viewing a project

I have Version 10.021 and when I open a project, it is super small and I have to zoom in on it to actually see the project.
I don't know what i did, but it's not on all my projects, just a few.
How can I avoid this?

Re: Laser cutting

I don't have a laser, but the size of your laser is for engraving only. I can't cut 1/4" of anything. From what I understand, you would need at least a 40 watt or even 60 watt laser to actually cut anything that thick. I have thought about getting one for my CNC, but I know I will need something mor...

Re: Adding the degree symbol when typing text

Sorry guys, but holding the ALT key and typing 248 does nothing.
I tries truetype fonts and single line fonts
Helvetica as a single line and Times New Roman as a true type
