You can buy a reamer from Axminster tools in the Uk, they also make a reamer that bevels the
top edge of the hole, they work best using a battery drill

To get used to the CNC process MDF would be a good starting point, cheap and consistent, when you are happy with the results move onto testing the material that you would be using in your production.

What are you planning on making ?

Removing that much material from one side it will bow, even if itโ€™s quartersawn.
How are you planning on hanging the doors, the design does not leave much material for the hinges.
