Re: Selling VCarve Pro?
Thanks for the link guys. After reading through, I am not sure I would my software would qualify for a transfer. I bought a used shopbot, then Vectric was nice enough to let me upgrade the Shopbot software to full V-carve Pro...so I think I would be considered the second "owner".

Re: Unsmooth machine movements
So here is the scoop...as best I can explain. The Warp9 Smoothstepper controller, has not been compatible with raster burning with laser. Through the work of Andrew at Warp9 and Jim Neeb (a Avid cnc owner) they have worked to get raster burning working. I am not a programmer so it took me a little b...

Re: Unsmooth machine movements
When I get home tonight I will post. Thanks for your input. Generally on vector drawings everything works as expected. Its mostly when I am trying to do something like a grayscale image the machine movement is kind of choppy. I will upload tonight.

Unsmooth machine movements
Hi All, I upgraded my Avid CNC with an Optlaser 6w laser. All is installed and the laser module for Vcarve Pro seems to be working correctly. The issue I would like to correct is the way the machine moves while burning a picture. I was under the assumption that the machine would make continuous move...

Re: Relative geometry
How would using sheets change how the offset datum moves the entire work piece? Sorry I am out of my element with the cad side of this software.

Re: Relative geometry
Thank you for the suggestion. I thought it solved my problem, but it seems not quite. If I am drawing parts on a 60"x60" sheet and I want to create a cabinet wall of say 12x24, when I change the origin in this way, it seems to offset the entire "sheet" by that amount, and with it the vectors I'm try...

Relative geometry
Hi Folks, I have been using Vectric products for a long time but only for CAM. I want to get to know the drawing CAD side a little better. One thing that I really like Rhino is being able to temporarily move the origin to something like the lower left hand corner of a cabinet wall I'm designing. Thi...

Re: Vectric User Group DVDs
I think I have the basics down pretty well...I'm sure not as well as someone who uses the program everyday...but maybe I will try and follow through with all of them, then do the DVD's. Thanks guys.

Re: Vectric User Group DVDs
I'm considering these DVD's...with that said I have a couple questions. I have read the description of what they offer, but it doesn't seem to say how they differ much from the tutorials that have come with Aspire. I'm not trying to be a pud, but what are the benefits over the included Tutorials. Ho...

Re: WinTab Error?
That makes sense...I was given an old Wacom tablet...and got frustrated about eight seconds after loading it trying to get it to work, and have not used it since. I left it installed with the idea I would come back to it when I had some time to waste. Thanks Brian.
