Re: Dust Deputy Modification

I did break a lid. So I made one with 1/2 plywood.
The next weak spot will be the bottom of the bucket I suspect.
When that happens I may just make a plywood container/box.

Re: Fluting a whole block

Another option I would consider would be to just shim up the right side the correct amount and do a simple surfacing path.

Re: Cutting lower then flat depth

Keep in mind that when V carving text the depth of carve is determined by the width of the text.
The narrower the text the shallower the carve.
I suspect your text is not large enough to create a carve .125 deep as you desire.

Re: Inlay Pocket Tool path

Ok I understand that there may be bits of material between the outer detail pass and the clearance pass. But why cannot it just stepover inwards and remove the material.
How can I submit this to the support team?

Inlay Pocket Tool path

Why does V Carve create a tool path like shown below? There are multiple raise and plunge moves that do not remove any additional material after the pass around the perimeter. This happens at each depth pass and greatly increases the cut time. I see no option to optimize tool path. CRV file attached...

Re: Moulding Toolpath

Use the offset tool and your perimeter line to make a line inside the perimeter. The offset value should be the width of your profile. Then use the offset line rather than the perimeter line as the guide line to extrude the profile around. First image is the result of trying the inside offset as th...

Moulding Toolpath

I want to do a profile cut the shape of Indiana and then follow up with a moulding toolpath for 0.25 radius on the edge.
The problem I have is that it wants to place the moulding toolpath outside of my vector but I need it on the inside the vector.
What am I doing wrong?

Output Direct to Machine

I use an X Carve machine and interested in direct output to machine.
Is that possible with the current version 9.5?
If so how do I set up for this?
Thanks

Re: 3D Model Help

In the preview your suggestion seems to help a lot. However the carve time is more than doubled. I was hoping the roughing with the end mill would leave the flat area with a good finish and then just the 3d area could be done with finish toolpath. I may try adding an additional pocket path with the ...
