The entire gear is only 0.05" (default DXF).

For 'alignment dowel' holes from running double sided jobs, I just put a dab of glue on a dowel. I leave the section of dowel whole, then tap is into the hole. Nope... It's still a mathematical certainty that 1.0 does not divide evenly by 3.

You just click on, and highlight the vectors that you want to delete. Then hit the DEL key. Simple. Make sure that you are editing a copy of the crv file. I always use Incremental Save, Ctrl+Alt+S as I go along. It makes a incremental copy to work on. That makes it easy to back out of a major mistak...

Project resolution doesn't apply here as there is no 3D component. It's down to toolpath preview resolution as Steven says.

I'm in hardware graphics mode. I made a bad ASSumption. I thought I was in Max Toolpath preview mode, but I was in only High. Works great now.

My DIL wants a simple cutout of a surfboard (I don't even ask anymore, not after Donut Board for Shower). No problem, we agreed on a design. A simple cutout with a laser engraved pattern.
