Inner profile cut
Hi, I need to cut out a 8 inch diameter hold.I have been told that there is a way to set the tool path to cut inside the diameter of the hole and not on the outside. Can anyone please let me know how you set that path up. I have only used adaptive clearing before, but in this case it would make too ...

Hi, I need to machine a tall part, is there a way in vcurve pro that I can set the max z axis above the work surface. I only have around 10mm clear between the tool tip and the max height my machine can travel. Thanks, michael

Hi, know I am ok. I am waiting for some mdf to turn up, as messing up alumium sheets with these circles is costing to much.

Re: circles still to big
Hi, know it’s a 2nd test, as I did not save the first one. Mach 3 is running the machine fine when using other software, but I don’t like some parts of fusion. With the 2nd test mach3 just keeps cutting way past the correct size. With lines etc all is ok, it’s just circles that cut wrong when using ...

circles still to big
ok. so yesterday I did the following. I added the G91.1 command into the G code after the G90 and tried to cut a circle. it came out to large by 20mm. I was then told that the command G91.1 must be in a line alone, so today I tried that, and the circles just cut to large again. I tried other softwar...

Re: Circles are too big
Hi, at the moment this forum locks me out on my pc, so I am using my iPad. So far I have been told the following. Mach3 as a setting called absolute and incremental. The default is absolute but so some reason vcarve is not triggering that setting which is G91.1 I have tried to edit the g code to inc...

Circles are too big
Hi, I have a big problem. I have drawn a part in solidworks, down loaded it to vcarve pro. And used vcarve to write the g code. All this in mm. however when it comes to cutting the circles which should be 22mm did the tool keeps cutting the circle until I stop it at 49mm dia. The driving software is...

Problems with vectors vcarve pro
Hi. I am having a problem trying to make a toolpath. I have imported a STL file into vcarve pro. Set up the material etc and the tool. My first of three toolpaths needs to be a drilling one. But when I click on a hole to start the toolpath it outlines pink, but when I try to link a second hole the f...

Re: end mill offset
HI, Thanks for replies. my reason for asking is that a work I milled out was to small by 3mm in total. The end mill I was using was 3mm so it looks like the off set which should of been 1.5mm was not taken into account.with the price of brass these days I just don't wish to make the same mistake. is...
