Re: ENGRAVING BRASS

I was wondering what type of feeds and speeds you use .
I'm trying to engrave a branding iron for my wood projects.
I'm using a .020 end mill and so far i think its working.
Have you ever done that?

Engraving brass

I have never cut metal in the 10+ years that I have had my machine.
I would like to engrave brass or aluminum with my machine.
Anyone know of a beginners guide to do this? :?:

Using Adobe Illustrator Filoes

I have a new customer who just supplied me with a file that is an eps made in adobe illustrator but I can not open it in vc pro 6. I'm almost positive it a bmp file . What can be done to get it to a vector file on his end. Will illustrator output in vector format?

That's a solid carbide tool right? I used a HSS tool and it snapped.

The light I used was a new 110 voltround fluorescent I bought a Loews. I made a angle bracket from sintra to hold the light on the back about six inches from the litho.

Re: CREATING A NEW TOOL IN 5.5

What I found out is that there is a round over tool in the database but Prism cut will not accept the tool, so I'm trying to figure out how to do it via profile
cut.
I will check the area you suggested anyway.
thanks

Creating a new tool in 5.5

I know I'm going to sound like a newbie but here is my question. I just started playing with my 5.5 version. Mainly the prism letters. It works good . Then I came up with the idea of using a round over bit instead of a v bit. My problem is I don't know how to make a tool like that in the data...
