Screenshot 2023-03-22 143210.png Model Screen Shot of what 4DThinker was mentioning about the dogbones in the corners of the Mortise for the sharp corners of the Tenon. I intentionally made this model cut setback so that you can visually see the Tenon Corner fitting into the Mortise Dogboned Corner...

Awesome Project!!! Nice Job!!!
I believe I would have alternated the Inlayed Squares Grain (lighter ones opposite direction) but that is just my preference.

Re: Easy Gadget Downloads
Internet Explorer (not Edge) downloads the files as zip rather than vgadget. Doubt there are many people using it still but thought it worth mentioning in case you get someone else saying they are getting zips. Thank You, Adrian!!! We are presently looking into this issue. We probably will just add...

Re: Easy Gadget Downloads
Is the site fully functional or is it a preview currently? None of the downloads work for me. Some of the download links resolve to "vgadge" rather than "vgadget" but the ones that resolve fully result in a 404 error as well. We have corrected the issues you have mentioned above. Thank You for lett...

Re: Virtual Center Dimensions Different from Actual Dimensions
I am not at CNC computer so working from my brain memory, I believe there is a setting in the Virtual Zero Preferences that can be set/changed to edge/boundary or to an arbitrary inside location within the project boundary. Check that out. Based on the five points or with unlimited (Virtual Zero) po...

Re: Replace a model in VCarve
Thank You Scott!!!
I have not ever had that happen to me but then again I have not had to re-Import all that much either. It is good to know and it does make sense because anytime you manipulate the model to much it could very well loose its parameters/details.

Re: Replace a model in VCarve
by giametti --- Is it possible to replace an imported model in VCarve? You can re-import a model (see image attached) and try different settings to get the model imported the way you want it. RightClick on Model Name/Title in Modeling Tab -- Select Re-Import. Screenshot 2023-03-16 074333.png Just a...

Re: Start Depth cant be negative?
If you want the cut to start above the material then you change the z-zero point on your machine with your control software rather than in VCarve. There are also RAMPS , Different RAMP Angles and RAMP Distance Settings that can be used at the cut starts too!!! Just have to experiment with all the v...

Re: Vcarve toolpath depth question
It isn't any wider in the 2D window only in the 3D which is correct. Change the start depth to a much larger figure and you will see the 2D preview doesn't change. +1 Agreed 2D -- What program is telling machine to do 3D -- Reality of the Carve with all Conditions (parameters) combined Sharkcutup

Re: Vcarve toolpath depth question
by wilkigr -- How is it possible that the v-bit cut deeper by .02" than in the first toolpath, but did not cut any wider? The Second is actually a tad wider than the others. Measure it by hovering over edges and reading the Y: from data at bottom of drawing window. Second and Third Rectangles Subtr...
