That is correct it shows the job layout on a letter size paper in the Print Preview Window.
Did you try Printing it?

Not enough information to provide a definitive answer.
One guess would be circle vector is not round but unlikely. Second guess --- Feed Speed may be to fast entering the harder darker wood.

Need to post your saved g-code file for review to see if there is a code line in there that is turning off your spindle. And of course if there is then the Post Processor would then need to be checked to see if it is the culprit adding that code line to turn off the spindle. Just a little detective ...

Just my two cents worth --- A heck of lot faster cutting rectangles and squares on a Table Saw over a CNC Machine unless of course you have a Production CNC Machine that can cut all in one pass.
