Re: Understanding the purpose/function of Document Variables

Thank You Adrian! That makes a lot of sense in using it for toolpaths. In fact, I had wish I had dug deeper sooner into the software's features for I could have used that very example you have just mentioned (Start Depth). I had a project where I had several toolpaths with the same start depth ----c...

Understanding the purpose/function of Document Variables

I am presently trying to get a more in depth understanding of certain features of V-Carve Pro and in doing so have come across 'Document Variables' on the lower portion of the 'EDIT' menu. Is there anyone who uses this feature on a consistent basis that could possibly explain its use or function? Sh...

Like This

Just click on the little color box another color box of various colors will appear. This little color box on each layer changes the color of the vectors assigned to that particular layer.

Re: Image shifting in VCarve 11

Can you post a copy of your file here provided no copyright material is enclosed? If that is the case then images/screenshots/photos would be the next big help in the forum members being able to solve your issue rather than random guessing.

Re: Inwards offset not duplicating rounder corners

Yes but the OFFSET tool does an entire (box sides & radius) Dimensional Change in your example box. It is not a Facsimile change. if you want a 2" smaller box maintaining a 2" radius then you will have to copy/paste then resize the box. Which in this case you would create a new size of a 12" box (2"...

Re: maintain older version of Vcarve Desktop?

I always keep and maintain (as best I can) the previous version of V-Carve Pro. I also have trial copies of V-Carve Pro, Desktop and Aspire for my online help sessions. It is helpful for me to have these different software programs because of some of the differences between each. I also feel it is o...

Re: vector validator

It is true I have found that the Vector validator doesn't always catch everything but it is certainly a big help in finding impending issues Sometimes when all else fails you just either have to zoom in get a closer look at the vectors or delete and re-create.

Re: 2d Profile Bit Change not allowed

Helpful Hint --- It would also be useful to get in the habit of using a valuable feature that is available to all who have purchased Vectric Software your Vectric Portal via the online button on the Tool Database Reference image below. This a great place to backup your Tool Database!!! Should you ev...

Re: Tool Database

The Tool Database has been designed with some safety in mind. If lets say you were to select the V-Carve Toolpath well then Form tools are not allowed to be used here so they do not show. Only V-bits are used hence the name V-CARVE of the Toolpath. If you click the display tool base icon under Toolp...
