Wow, I missed that option. It works great. Thanks

Re: Pocket toolpath - outside in
My trick to get around this is to do a profile inside the line then maybe another with an offset but with the amount of my tool stepover. Then I can pocket the rest. This works, but forces me to create 3 toolpaths.

Pocket toolpath - outside in
This may be an unusual request, but is there a way to make a pocket toolpath in offset mode start on the outside and work to the middle?

Re: Machine cut deeper
I wish I could trust my (DIY) machine to be that accurate. When you talk about having machining a pocket at a depth of .035mm, is this after you machine the top surface? If you are not machining the to surface first how are you setting your "Z" zero to the top surface? I would like to add that on to...

Re: Cutting around a line
I am using single line fonts but when converted to curves letters like "O" are seen as closed vectors and "C" is seen as an open vectors. It gets even better on letters like "E" is actually 2 open vectors. I got what I needed for now, maybe I will find an easier way as I keep going.

Re: Cutting around a line
I had tried that but it wasn't working. I found that I need to go through each letter one at a time. I think it has something to do with some letters being open vectors, the others closed.

Re: Problems with setting depth of cut in Cut2d
Just an update on the depth of cut problem I appeared to have. After much fiddling with settings, I think I finally got it do what I wanted. However; I'm not happy with depth that Cut2d gives me in respect to I what I want. E.G. If I want a 1/16 inch deep pocket, I have to set the depth of my tool ...

Cutting around a line
I want to cut around some open vectors. Ideally I would like to cut both "inside" and "outside" of some curves, basically making the cut I want to be twice the tool width. Using a bigger tool is not an option I seem to be able to cut "inside" a straight line, then program to cut "outside" the line, ...

updating tool database
If I update the parameters on a tool how do I get those new specs to apply to current toolpaths? I tried using the "recalculating" of the tool paths but it did not seem to apply. It appears that I need go through every toolpath that uses that tool, ,open it, delete the tool, then reselect it to make...

That figures it would be the one button I did not try. Thanks.

drawing a parallel line
is there an easy way to draw a parallel line at a given distance from a first line? the array copy only works if the lines are straight with X or Y

Re: What am I doing wrong?
My issue with the screen is not the darkness but the very low resolution the 3d view is giving me. Shallow toolpaths are hard to see if at all. Other toolpaths just are not clear like zooming too far in on a picture.

What am I doing wrong?
What happened to the resolution when trying to preview my tool paths? They used to be pretty clear, but now they are very low res and very hard to view. This seemed to happen after I just upgraded to 10.509. While on the subject of the new rev., while trying to practice with the array toolpath optio...
