Individual DXF Batch processor.
I need to process every day a lot of dxf files using Aspire and I want to make the things simpler by creating a Gadget that it is able to automate all the tasks that I need. I want to create something similar with the bellow screenshot. I used as inspiration other already existing gadgets, who are c...

Opening, because this way it is inheriting the sizes for the material from the dimensions of the shapes.Adrian wrote:Are you importing the DXF file or opening it? Aspire behaves differently depending which way you do it.

Re: XY Datum - default position
"After reading your post, I think what you are asking for is a way to have the DXF file come in so that the part has the 0,0 in the upper LEFT, instead of the lower left? To do this, make sure the file is exported from the CAD system in that position, OR, right after you import the file, while the v...

Re: XY Datum - default position
Ok, my fault, I want to say that I need to use always the Top-Left corner position when importing dxf files, because all the dxf files are generated by default using the Bottom-Left corner for the reference point.

XY Datum - default position
I need to change the default position of the "XY Datum" from the Bottom-Left to Top-Left position and I can't find any option to do this. Also I ALWAYS need to disable the "Use Offset" when importing DXF files into Aspire. If somebody know how to do this, please help-me. Top-Left corner coordinate.p...

Re: Different colour for full cut?
"Out of curiosity why do you need to know this information in that view?" It is very useful because I'm generating a lot of tool-paths every day and for some pieces I need a full cut contour for others not, and I have no visual representation whatsoever to quickly identify if it is everything as I n...

Re: Different colour for full cut?
Yes indeed, into the 3D tool-path preview you can choose the colour, but on the 2D view this colours are missing. I need an automatic solution, so I can quickly identify all the tool-path that will cut all way through material like the image from firs post, who is automatically generated like that b...

Different colour for full cut?
I need an option into Aspire to visually differentiate the tool-paths that are passing through all the stock material by the tool-paths that are only making small cuts. Please see the attached picture who illustrate something similar from an old MasterWood machine: Cut_colors.PNG Please add this fea...

Python scripting
I'm learning Python programming language and I think that will be great to have support for Python scripting in Aspire. I know that Vectric products have support for LUA but will be great to also have support for python scripting.

Toolpath Template as editable file instead of binary one?
I am using lately a lot of Toolpah Templates and I wanted to make a small modification to one of my saved ToolpathTemplate files but I realized that this files are in binary format, so no modification can be made, which for me is a big problem, for example because I am not able to change the tool or...

Re: Drop down menu for Toolpath Template?
There is a facility that I use that bypasses the standard save code routines and allows you to specify exactly where you want the gcode to be saved. Thank you for sharing your code. I need to save the gcode into the same folder as the imported dxf file, and also the gcode to have exactly the same n...

I just make a quick mockup of how it will look like the TT pop-up menu and I used as reference the Layers Pop-up.

Re: Drop down menu for Toolpath Template?
... it would be too confusing for most users as they wouldn't understand why the folders kept changing. Well, for me the actual way of doing the things are more confusing, because every time I want to save gcode after opening a TT, Aspire is trying to save into the same folder from where I opened t...

Re: Drop down menu for Toolpath Template?
I have a link to my template folder in the left hand side of the file open dialog (Quick Links). That way when I click Load Toolpath Template I just need to click on that link and then all I get is my toolpath templates. Me too. Unfortunately this don't fix the main problem that I have, because I n...

Drop down menu for Toolpath Template?
I'm using a lot the Toolpath Templates feature from aspire. The problem with them is that I need to load or save them to/from a folder, which for me it is very time consuming because I'm applying these TT to some imported DXF files that I am loading from other folders, and all the time I need to go ...
