Converting vectors into usable text

I am using Aspire 8.0. I have a project that requires a 4 word saying to be cut out in 17 different languages but it needs to be wrapped around a specific radius. I am using google translate in order to get the translations and I am able to copy and paste that into aspire where it then becomes norma...

Tool Feed Rate and Machine Time

So I have a project where I am doing 8x11 carvings that are 5/8 thick out of ribbon stripe mohagany, each one with a different scenery. I cut these on a Laguna Smartshop 2. It is a 4ftx8ft machine with 8 tool changers. I am just curious to see if how fast I am cutting these out is slow, fast, or abo...

How to move heat from Vacuum out of shop

With Summer coming up we want to keep our shop at a comfortable temperature but it will be hard with the CCC. It is a 4x8, 8 tool changer. I was wondering if there is anything out there that attaches to the vacuum and deflects the hot air elsewhere. Thanks

Re: Bit Selection?

You may wish to change to a 3/8" inch bit if your design can be adjusted. They have considerably less deflection than 1/4" bits. What is your CNC machine? Are you running a router or a spindle? How are you holding the material? Clamps? Screws? Vacuum? Double-sided tape? The machine is a Laguna 4X8 ...

Bit Selection?

I am working on a production job with many parts that come together similar to a puzzle, I am currently using a 1/4" 2 flute double compression but the parts are 3/4 so Its doing at least 4 passes and in the beginning of production the parts were turning out great, nothing has changed but my parts I...

Re: 1/4 End Mill Noise

I am cutting ribbon stripe Mahogany that is 1.125" and I have it set at 5 passes. The bit I am using is a up/down solid carbide spiral, 2+2 compression. Thank you for the information, if you have any more suggestions based on that information too please let me know!

1/4 End Mill Noise

So I am doing a production project and the majority of my cuts I will be using a 1/4 end mill. The problem is it is so noisy that it makes it very annoying and I would rather not hear that the for the next year. It is almost like a screaming noise and I've heard 1/4 bits have been known to be noisy ...

Importing Own 3D Model

I am making religious carvings that are about the size of a piece of paper. The model itself needs to be 3/4 inch thick and will be pocketed around it. I have tried building components (arms, legs, etc.) from a picture I imported but have not been able to get the detail and quality needed. I have al...
