From the pictures its hard to know the scale, but seeing how the grain on the drawer fronts match the body, I am guessing its a bandsaw box. Very creatively cut. I use the Amana 0 flutes for plastic. I pocket .225 acrylic at 140 ipm. I also profile cut it in one pass at 140 ipm. It also leaves a nice edge finish suitable for polishing. As long as its an 0 flute, Amana or Onsurd will do the job. At those speeds a big shank wont buy you anything unless you are...

I am misunderstanding the operation. I thought leaving a profile allowance of say .05" meant that the cut left .05" uncut, which a Last pass of "0.0" would then cut to the final dimension. Doesn't this mean that the final size is off by the last pass dimension? I have read the manual and the spot wh...

I cant seem to get the "last pass" part of a profile cut to work. If I cut a profile and leave a , say .05 allowance, then I select "Last Pass", 0.0 allowance, reverse direction.
It does not do the last pass cut.

Surely this is operator trouble. I have been here before.
Any suggestions?

Amana makes one that may work for you. #45236. 1" cut with a 1/4" shank.

Opps! I should have said, "Do it as a POCKET". Define the origin and area(and the bit in tools of course). Set the steep over. I use a raster cut at a fairly high feed speed.
This way there are no lines to draw and nothing to calculate.

I use one of the surfacing bits by Amana (Toolstoday in the U.S.) They have rotatable/replaceable carbide inserts. I haven't needed to rotate the insert even once in over a year.
Sizes from 1" to 4" diameters. The bigger the pricier!

Great idea! You could put magnets on the backs. They would make colorful refrigerator magnets.

Those tab slots do look very square. In any event its a nice design.
