Re: Personal Challenge
Great work on the mirror and the dog! This really shows how good your new machine holds it's steps!
How big are your stepper motors?
I looked in the gallery of machines but couldn't find your entry-maybe I missed it. I would be interested to see photos of your machine.
Thanks for posting,
Glenn

Re: Disruption to Forum
Hi guys, ok, I'll say it. Shades of grey may be the new "in" color scheme, but I really get depressed looking at them. I enjoyed the old familiar shades of yellows that made me feel warm and happy. Please consider switching back to the more colorful forum scheme: Change for the sake of change does n...

Re: Engraving letters..matching fonts to bits
kevrgood, Have you tried baskerville old face? I like it a lot and it is similar to arial and makes clean corners too! I use this 60° cmt bit ScreenHunter_32 Apr. 12 11.55.jpg and it works fine. Make sure your bits come down to a very fine point which is dead centered- no wobble or playout from your...

Re: Pocketing question
Hi DaWiz, Welcome to the forum! I think that vectric returns to the safe z after each layer has been cut as a safety measure. I think this question comes up from time to time because many of us have seen some cam operations that do indeed choose a spiral pattern. The ease of use and the sheer reliab...

Re: Second Amendment Gun Rack
Hi Nos,
Here is your gun rack done in walnut with the addition of a bottom shelf per customers' request.
Thanks for the file, very nice of you to share, and the font you chose was perfect!

I tried sending 2 more photos, but the file size exceeds the 2 mib limit...

Phil,
Great looking box! What is the underlying texture spreading out from the center?

The gantry may have to run parallel to your tilted bed to achieve your suggestion. Is there a way to cut adjustment slots
for the router mount bolts? Seems this is what you really need to give you a permanent fix. Glenn
