Re: Amazing Grace Engraving

I think I have it figured out thanks to all the help here as usual. Now I just have to find a pic good enough to use so I don't have to edit it for a month!

Re: Amazing Grace Engraving

I used Google search Amazing Grace png files then changed that over to pdf files (was easier this way to work with) then over into crv files.

Could you please elaborate on this somewhat?

Re: stacked text ARRRG!

I really appreciate the help everyone, let me try again and I'll post the file if I'm still stumped. Incidentally, I wish I had a tenth the Vectric tutorial guy does.

stacked text ARRRG!

Ok, I know this subject has been beat to death, but I just can't seem to get it. I have tried all the methods I can find and cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. Could someone please post a small .crv with the tool paths so I can compare them to what I'm doing and get this thing figured out? As a...

Clip art confusion??

Ok, so I think I have a grasp of 2D stuff as I have cut several various signs and plaques (and having a ball with it). Now I thought I'd try my hand at a bit of 3D work. This is where the cornfusion part comes in. If I open one of the 3D clip art images that comes with VCP 8, I'm assuming I need to ...

Re: join vectors

I just had to figure this out the hard way yesterday. If you zoom in on the area in question, you'll prolly find that they just look joined, but in high zoom they are not.

Re: DXF cutout

No that doesn't make sense either, if those lines are the center, the cutter should have went up and to the right and it goes down and to the right. When I simulate all the tool paths, they are all correct so I hand no idea what's going on.

Re: DXF cutout

Maybe I didn't figure it out. Went to run this file this morning and the first thing I did was run the Keyhole tool path. The machine instead of going to the top center and cutting the keyhole, it went to the near bottom right corner and started to cut it. I stopped everything and tried to figure ou...
