Re: VCarve 10.5 is OUT NOW!

Post processor no longer listed after upgrade to 10.502 always used CNCShark-USB ARCS (inch)(*.tap) what am i supposed to use now??? Use the "Next Wave CNC (inch)(*.tap)" post processor. They merged all their different machines into one post processor. That didn’t work at all. I also tried the (met...

Re: VCarve 10.5 is OUT NOW!

I updated and installed 10.503. I am using an Optlaser 6w laser and it worked fine before the upgrade. Now when I try to find it with the postprocessor it is not there. I am currently not able to make my laser work with any of my old saved files.

Re: 90 degree array with multiple angles

That is part of the problem, I don't really have a good example, but I will attempt to explain what it is I am trying to do. If you are familiar with boat design, there are intersections where 3 separate pieces come together to create a joint along the bottom outside edge of the boat. Because the an...

90 degree array with multiple angles

I am not sure what the correct definition is, therefore I am not able to find what I want even if it exists. I will try and explain what I am attempting to do and hopefully, someone can point me in the right direction. If you take the capital letter L and you were looking straight down on it like vi...

Starting additional Z axis cuts from last level

I have the need to cut a lot of parts that are approx. 3/4" deep. Some are pocket toolpaths and some profile toolpaths, either way using a 1/8" and 1/4" straight carbide cutter. I am taking 1/2 the diameter of the tool bit cuts and stepping down the same. My issues are after the first and subsequent...

Re: Need Help with Plaque Outline

I used the Vector Validator tool to mark the problem areas . Ok so I did a little more research on the Vectric Validator tool and it is something new on V9.0 which explains why I haven't heard of it. I am still stuck in the ice ages with VCarve 8.5, so I guess maybe I should look at either upgradin...

Re: Need Help with Plaque Outline

Vector validator tool? Is that an add on to Vectric Vcarve? Best I could get was that I had 4 open vectors and because if the way I designed the boarder, I had a pretty good feeling where to look, but to have the open vectors highlighted, that would be a huge help.

Re: Need Help with Plaque Outline

Ok, that was a bit more than I was expecting. Easy fix, but I wasn't blowing it up far enough to notice the end points were not actually touching. I didn't know it would take full zoom to see it, or at least with my eyes. Problem resolved and again I thank you so much for your troubleshooting expert...

Re: Need Help with Plaque Outline

So when I ungrouped the vectors and then selected Join Vectors I go to another screen where it shows 4 open vectors. There is an option for Tolerance which defaults to .005. The JOIN box is grayed out so I can't select it to join the vectors. I have increased the Tolerance to .200 and still unable t...

Is it a simple outline with a profile cut?
Background Plaque.crv
(388.5 KiB) Downloaded 139 times
Outside Profile.txt
(144.93 KiB) Downloaded 174 times
Here is the tool path and .crv file. I removed the text and graphics to reduce the file size.

Re: Need Help with Plaque Outline

That is correct, all 4 corners should be exactly the same. I have tried 3-4 times to attach the .crv file, but for some reason it won’t attach, maybe due to it’s size. I can try again when I get home in a few hours. Thanks for the quick reply.

Need Help with Plaque Outline

I have created a plaque and for some reason I can not get the outline to cut out completely. It acts as if there are open vectors, but I have checked that. It will cut out the opposite corners when I render the design in Vcarve Desktop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get a few...
