Re: Stacked text
Leo, I hope you are taking advantage of the template for stacked text. It has helped me with the process as I only use it once in a while. As I spend too long between the designs, I needed a way to be able to produce them without having to go through the tutorials each time. I also wrote the process...

Re: Stacked Text with a Twist
Craig, sorry for the delay, but have not been online for quite some time. Travel and life etc. Anyway, the paints are basically craft paint from Walmart. They have these small tubes/vials for 50 cents that come in a great variety of colors. They spread well and don't bleed. Then it is just a matter ...

Stacked Text with a Twist
Hi All Had the opportunity to carve a wedding sign for my step son. I thought it would be great if it was something a little more personal than the usual stacked text. Thinking about their love of the outdoors and the wedding invite they sent that had snow capped mountains, trees and colors I figure...

Re: Need help with tooling setup
One thing to point out is to not lean on the table or platform while running the project. Don't ask how I found this out - on a 10 hour run I would lean on the table to check the progress and guess what I had, those pesky lines. Found I was changing the z just ever so slightly. Oh well - live and le...

Re: Lithophane Tutorial Revisited
There are a couple of ways to skin the proverbial cat. (Poor Thing) You could consider the different tooling approaches that could be utilized. I use a single tool single pass strategy with a 30Deg V-Bit configured like a very small ball nose. I use a small step over and cut in a single pass with a ...

Now that I am at my main computer here is the file. Note: It is macro driven, but written in 2007 so should work for later versions as far as the code and libraries go. You will need to enable macros when opening the file. Naming conventions will need to be followed as far as excel tab names go. The...

Re: saving patterns?
I don't know if this helps, but I wrote a excel file that will catalog various folders on what ever drive I have. It will create a hyperlink to the files so all I have to do is select the hyperlink and the file will open in its respective software. This allows me all of the sorting tools for excel t...

Hi Dave,
Long and short is setting it to the bottom of material is the issue. If you change it to the top, the issue goes away.
I reported on the same and have found a couple of other posts reporting the same thing.
See this thread: http://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19047

Re: will i ever get this right???
One of the issues I had early on was the way my computer was going to sleep during the process of long runs. My monitor would go blank like into a sleep mode, and when I would wake it back up I noticed it would leave a diagonal line with my cutting direction. I figured that by waking it up, caused a...

Re: Support Pages and Frequently Asked Questions
As I travel so much, I have had the log me on each time set on multiple computers. The behavior you describe about not being kept logged in sounds like what happens when I use one computer for a couple of days and then when I get back home, I have to log back in from my primary. Perhaps you logged i...
