Re: Export/Save image?
Windows 10 has a snipping tool that is useful for cropping pictures. Phil I’m aware of the snipping tool but does it keep the same resolution that the original photo had? I had used the drawing tools to create an unusual vector to crop my photo with. Sure I could have used a photo editing software ...

Re: Export/Save image?
If you are talking about the picture itself, no. You will need to screen shot and then save as from whatever editor you use. The other thing you can do is when doing a tool path preview, you can save the preview in bmp, jpg, png, and gif. Hope this helps. Asim Yep, that is what I figured. Seems lik...

Export/Save image?
I have imported a photograph and then cropped it to a specific shape using the tools in Aspire. Now I want to export or save the image that I just cropped as a bmp or png to be used in another application. Is this possible??

Officer Memorial
I was honored when asked to create this tribute to a fallen police officer. Learned a few things in the process too.

Re: help with LED sign
Simplest method might be to use a single line font and then do a profile 'on' toolpath using a .25" endmill.

Re: Simulate a laser cutting through a project
Are you trying to do this using the laser module? If so, I don't believe you can do it. Otherwise, you could create an endmill the diameter of your laser dot and then use a standard profile 'on' toolpath (setting your depth of cut to material thickness) to simulate cutting through your material. You...

Re: Sheriff badge wall art
Be aware that the cherry will darken with age. In about 5 years there will be little contrast between the lettering and the wood. Don't ask how I know this. Thanks Mike. I am aware that it will darken. Anybody with suggestions with a better wood (available in midwest US). My original thought was wa...

Sheriff badge wall art
First real attempt using cherry wood. Finished piece is 36" tall/1.75" thick, finish is natural (lacquer). Was extremely nervous knowing my supply of cherry was limited, so this was a one shot deal. 9-1/2 hour carve, used a 1/16" tapered ballnose on center medallion. This will hang in the county adm...

Check to make sure your bit is not slipping in the collet. Honest John just had this same thing happen while running a file he has run many times and only happened when running an more aggressive toolpath.
