Re: Checkerboard

Thank you for all the comments, this was a fun project and I am glad to share it. Here is the file for the trim boards. I should have included it earlier. Nothing fancy. I used pine 1x6 boards for these and made them intentionally long to allow for trimming. As always, make sure to check toolpaths a...

I masked off the plywood and vcarved the grooves between the squares, then removed some of the mask and stained the appropriate squares. Then I sealed th...

Saving jpeg after cropping?

I have imported a picture and drew vectors around the parts I wanted to keep and cropped the background out of it. Is there a way to save the cropped jpeg to be used in another program (for lasering)? I have tried to copy and paste between programs, but that doesn't work.

Re: Evenly Space Names in a List

Thanks Adrian. I never use the alignment option under Transform Objects, so I never saw that space selection tool. Cool!

Wonder why that doesn't show up under the Align Objects menu even when 'show common tools on drawing tab' is checked??

Re: Evenly Space Names in a List

Use the Align Selected Objects tool. Under Space Selection click the vertical spacing icon (the right one) and the spacing between the words will be equalised based on the position of the top and bottom ones. Adrian, this method doesn't work for me. Can you explain? I tried grouping the top and bot...
