Re: Hertz Spindles from Turkey - Anyone use one?

Gerry,
Thanks for the info.
How long have you had the Chinese spindles? Are you happy with them? Are they air or water cooled?

Randall,
Thanks for the link,

Michael,
This is a very impressive model. Just beautiful!
I hope, I never have the need to use it.

Re: Hertz Spindles from Turkey - Anyone use one?

Adrian,
That is sort of what I was thinking from what I was seeing. Prices don't seem too bad. I like the fact there is a reasonable priced option other than the Chinese.

Was just wondering if anyone here was using one, a lot of views but no other comments.

Thanks for the response,
Scott

Hertz Spindles from Turkey - Anyone use one?

Was looking at spindles on eBay and noticed Hertz Spindles made in Turkey. I am wondering if anyone here has purchased one? Any comments on quality, etc.? It appears they have been selling on eBay for a number of years but this is the first I noticed them. If quality is better than the Chinese optio...

Re: Anyone Use Wincnc?

usLED, About 8 years ago I visited the Shopsabre factory, was very impressed. We nearly bought a machine from them for a business we were going to start, but that never worked out. It was down to them and Camaster. I have never used Wincnc, however that is also what Camaster uses. There are a large ...

Re: Back Lighting for LithoPhane

Bob,
Just looking at the eBay listing - aren't they awfully bright?
Just thinking compared to using the 5050 led strips for edge lite signs.
I have never made a litho, so I am asking for reference as much as anything.
It certainly reduces parts required any prep work.
Thanks,
Scott

Re: Puzzle Pieces

jcm,
Use the search function for puzzles - there are a number of posts dealing with this including discussions of what works for some and problems others have run across.

Post your results. Always great to see people's work.

Good Luck,

Re: Getting dimensions of a drawing

lundebc1, Draftsight is a free 2D Cad program, offered by the people that make Solidworks. It works very well and is a free download. If you know how to use Cad programs it is straight forward. However, if you have not used Cad programs before, there is a learning curve. My suggestion would be to de...

Re: Maslow

Based on one of the video's it cuts at 25 ipm.

If it's breaking stuff down while you're doing other things it's not so bad. Howevr, do you have to manually adjust the cutting depth for each pass? That would slow things up a bit.
