I think the most reasonable, way to check your chip load, is to touch your router bit, with your bare hand, if you are careful and brave enough, after it has been cutting, for a period of time. The one I was thinking of, showed using the tilt and fade, tool, to tuck one petal, under the other.

So, you can, cut a cove shape and have it, show up in the preview, best as I know.
But, there is always, someone else that has another opinion. that is the great thing
