Re: Question about gadget programming

Thanks Brian / Paul, I suspected that was the case, but hadn't seen any movement on the gadgets/Developer or gadgets/Blog pages.

Re: Question about gadget programming

I was also wondering about text support. Is it planned, or was it omitted for a reason?

Re: Shortcut for Layer Control Dialog

Thanks Mark,

Also would be handy to have a shortcut for deleting the working model. As a novice, it usually takes a few tries to find the correct approach.

Shortcut for Layer Control Dialog

Can't seem to find a shortcut for Layer Control Dialog. Find myself using layers alot to group the 2d stuff with the relief parts. Looked in VCarve Pro and couldn't find it there either. Using the demo, hoping Santa shops at Vectric. :)

Re: Import pvc files

Tim,

Thanks for the help. Suspected it was there, just didn't think to look under vectors.

Import pvc files

Been playing with the trail version, having lots of fun. Import ... pvc file is nowhere to be found. Am I missing something, or is it not possible in aspire?

Re: Aspire

The video on the Overview page plays for about 2 minutes and resets. Same place everytime (just after the grape stock is extruded). Anyone else experience this?

Very nice Randy. As a fellow lab admirer, do you mind sharing where you found the model?

Thanks for sharing

Vectric certainly standsout for simplicity and value. You'll find few commerical cnc software that hobbyist can afford to own. I suggested a machining boundary, because I believe it already exists in some form. Vectorart 3d models contain this boundary, and limits the maching to it. I'm sure it is n...

I'd like to vote for adding a machining boundary. This feature could cut the machining time for some models up to 50%, enhancing the "quickly" feature.

This thread uses the photocopy filter in GIMP. I used PhotoVCarve to cut it.

If you are using the total time on the simulated toolpaths page, check to see what the scale factor is set to. This will increase the machining time by this factor to allow for speed ramping, tool changes etc. If you set it to 1, you should be closer to the machine time without any delays.

Do the Vector Clip 3D models include the dished out background in the model. If not, how dou you handle the perimeter of the cutting area, if the model is getting cut in a sign, for example? Just purchased Cut 3d,and looking for some models to play with.

Did you have the vector version (not the orignal bitmat) selected when you did a save. If not, I believe it saves the bitmap as an eps file.

Try right clicking and "save as" on your local drive. It doesn't work for me if I just left click on it.

Thanks for the effort Paul and Damian. Haven't tried it yet, but it's on the short list.
