Re: Older .crv3r files
I have sent you three emails. I checked my email address that shows on the email page and on your web https://portal.vectric.com/preferences page, it is correct. If you're not getting them I don't know why. I have had issues with my e-mails not being received by the recipients and discovered that s...

Re: Tangent between two circles
Yes Michael, I came to the same conclusion. Will Vectric pick up on this discussion or should I notify them some other way? It's really a useful feature.

Thank you gentlemen, I thought I was doing everything right according to the manual but it wasn't working the way I expected.

Re: Tangent between two circles
Drawing tangents between two circles is SUPER easy with version 9 software! 1) Draw your circles 2) Select the polyline tool and click pretty much anywhere on the first circle vector 3) Move your mouse to the edge of the second circle and press the letter "t" while hovering (do NOT left-click, unle...

Re: Beer Taps - Part 2
Much obliged for the detailed laser info. I have a ShopSabre machine running WINCNC so I think an add-on laser would be difficult to do. Another concern I have, is that my gantry is heavy steel so I don't think the mechanics would like thousands of rapid, short moves typical of laser engravers.

Re: Beer Taps - Part 2
The laser assembly sits 1/8" above the workpiece being burned as it's focused 1/8" below the bottom of the protective shroud. I made a rough measurement for you and you'd need 85mm minimum from the bottom of the chuck to the top of the workpiece. Thanks for the info. A couple of more questions if y...

Re: Welcome to the new and improved Vectric Forum!
I like the wide outside space because my eyes don't have to travel so far on a wide screen monitor to read the text. Like others have mentioned, the white background seems a bit harsh. All other improvements are great!

Re: Wooden top for bandsaw
I've attended this guy's presentation at the Woodworking Show that tours many U.S. cities. I tune my bandsaw using his method (tooth gullet at crown of wheel) and get no drift whatsoever.
