Did you seal the bottom as well? Yes... The process goes like this. The bottom layer 3/4" MDF sheets is sealed with 2 coats of polyurethane (not thinned) top and bottom. Hi Phil,
I live in Houston and we have high humidity. The MDF is like a sponge and swells.
I find sealing the top keeps the top in good shape for many years. If I cut into the top, I will touch up the top with more sealer.
