Re: Dust Management

Wow, Allot of great suggestions. I will have to do some reading on these. I like the load cell idea, I can check the weight of the drum to a max weight or I could just put a sight glass on the side of the drum.

:D

How did you implement the dust level sensor. It's gotta be touchy to keep down the false positives.
Mine works off of vacuum pressure....
Tell me about your vacuum pressure system?

Re: Dust Management

The dust level sensor. It's gotta be touchy to keep down the false positives. The infared distance module has lost its mind. I am getting a full blown array of false positives. As I use the system, saw dust is filling up the infared module. I need to com up with a better way if checking the dust de...

Re: Dust Management

Please note, all of the dust collection piping and gate valves was in place, I added the sorvo's, seniors and buttons. I would be still printing the parts if I had not used my son's 3d printers. I had 3, ender3 running for 5 days and every cycle we had a complete gate and boxes parts for the button ...

Re: Dust Management

That is one lotta work in a short time... It really looks great. How did you implement the dust level sensor. It's gotta be touchy to keep down the false positives. I used a infared distance module. I measure the height of the dust in the can and hold the light on based on the distance from...

Re: Dust Management

I'm wondering how well the gates perform after a period of use. The main problem would be jamming from excess sawdust. Would there be any way to sense 'no movement' after an open/close command? Or the alternative 'command completed'. Am I overthinking this? My son asked me the same question. I ran ...
