Re: VistaCNC pendant ?
Sorry, I don't mean to try to talk anybody into anything. Just trying to offer up as much information as possible. This was my 4-th pendant on my home machine, after trying others. I guess I can be pretty passionate about things sometimes. I should tone it down. Still, I do, think you will like it....

Re: VistaCNC pendant ?
Leo, I am glad your for your comments and insights. Being relatively new to the cnc world I will take all of the foresight and suggestions that I can get. Re: VistaCNC pendant ?
I have the one with the readout. It is the Cat's MeeYow. LOVE it. I HIGHLY recommend it. Mine is another model up from what you show. I can cycle start, spindle start stop, home an axis, zero an axis, etc. I use all of it. Thanks for the input. So pretty much I should just spend the $$ and get the ...

VistaCNC pendant ?
Anyone here use a Vista CNC pendant with there machine? I'm looking at getting one and was looking for input on the digital readout vs no digital readout on the pendant. Re: Trouble with upgrading VC Pro
I think it would help to know what steps you took and at what point you got the error message. i just checked for an update and it was all done in about a minute. You do have to close VCP for the update to complete.

Re: Hole Size Doubles When Calculated
Easy one! You have the tool cutting on the line. If the bit is the same size use the Drill tool path with peck drilling. Or cut inside the line on a profile cut like you used. It's set to on the line, that is what doubled the hole size.

Re: New Drag Knife
You can actually stick the blade out more before tightening it down. The max thickness is based on the offset and that the blade angle is 45 degrees. You may be able to do thicker cuts if the corners aren't too tight. The blade has some wiggle room, so you can get the offset to be more than 3.0 als...

Re: VCP8.5 with a mill
The output code is just G-Code. Whether the G-code is generated by hand or by CAM - it is just G-code. The accuracy is all about the machine. NOW - with that said - the G-code from Vectric "may" be structured a little differently that I would hand write the code, but the end result will be the same...

Re: VCP8.5 with a mill
This is my machine: I'm assuming that you have the older version that uses V bearings, and not the current version with Hiwin linear rails. V Bearings are inherently far less rigid than linear bearings, and especially when they are used as CNCRP did, running them on cold rolled steel, instead of th...

Re: New Drag Knife
#5 is just a choice. Because the blade angle is 45 degrees, if you cut more material than your offset, then try to corner, the leading edge of the cutter will have to go backwards to make the corner, hence this is your limit. I picked a middle of the road value, but I can work with you if you want ...

Re: VCP8.5 with a mill
I know people who use vectric products in machine shops where it quite happily produces designs for lots of different work, some very accurate some not so  any inaccuracies will more than likely be down to the actual machine itself or the control program that runs the machine, if you are exper...
