Re: Thread Milling - I can't get it working

Hello Frank, Thank you for your reply. It would be better if the thread direction was preset with right-hand thread. You don't have to enter the diameter (D) separately. You just select the diameter in the drawing and then say thread milling. The diameter is then automatically adopted. Then you sel...

Re: Thread Milling - I can't get it working

Hello Frank, Can it be that you cut a left-hand thread instead of a right-hand thread. I have no problems with the tool parameters and settings.

Re: Thread Milling - I can't get it working

Re: Thread Milling - I can't get it working

Hello Frank,
that's strange. Maybe you can use your file
upload to see if everything is ok.
Hallo Frank,

Re: Thread Milling - I can't get it working

Re: CAN'T INPUT A THREAD LENGTH

Why can I not input a thread length? It stays grayed out. THREAD CUTTING.JPG Hello, when I look at your picture I immediately notice that you specify a maximum depth of 3 ". But entered 8 "at pitch below. I think that was not a good idea. :) If you use real values then the thread length will be dis...

Re: More Nodes

Hi Michael,

I think you are alone at home for too long.
This is not good.

Your CNC machine is happy with as few knots as necessary.

The more knots, the more often the machine has to accelerate and brake.

This then leads to jerking.

Re: PostProcessor Problem

Hi Adrian,

I knew it was working. I just had to rename it. Both the name and the variable POST_NAME =

Otherwise nothing had to be changed.

Thanks Dieter

Re: PostProcessor Problem

Make sure to send this into support@vectric.com Hi Randall, It is a PP from a customer. Mohamed already knows. It is a customized PP that also works if you rename it. It has an ä in the name and also for the variable POST_NAME = is an ä in the name. This worked well until version 10.22 From version...

PostProcessor Problem

Hello everybody, I found another bug that prevented the postprocessor from reading. In version 10 it is possible to load post processors with ä, ü, ö in the name. In version 10.5xx, the postprocessor name cannot contain ä, ö, ü Also with the parameter POST_NAME = these characters may not be used Die...

Re: I think that I have a problem with the new chamfering tool

Hi,
The Moulding Toolpath creates a 3D toolpath
The chamfertolpath is only 2D

The Moulding Toolpath would be the better choice for your application
