Re: Wrong arc move for Masterwood post-processor
If the arc moves are the only problem, maybe just swapping the G102's and G103's in the post processor would fix this? Alternatively, swap the CCW and CW labels? +--------------------------------------------------- + Commands output for the first counterclockwise arc move +--------------------------...

Re: Toy Charity Gets First CNC!
Glad to hear it! With VcarvePro 8 there are a number of included V3M files downloadable from https://portal.vectric.com/ and you can purchase others from https://www.vectorart3d.com/ and also from http://designandmake.com/ .

You can import just one STL file, but you can import multiple V3M files along with it.

Re: Z0 after roughing
" I think I might try and use the corner as the origin in future as it's less likely that the material has gone from there." Can you just jog to the corner of the material, and set the z0 there, and then jog the z-axis up after that? Not sure which postprocessor you're using, but mine has a move to ...

"ONE rotary dial telephone and used a 4 or 5 digit phone number"? Remember phones BEFORE they had a dial? When you picked it up, the operator asked "number puhleeze"? and computers were mechanical monsters like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_402 ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxCZ35y3O...

Re: Long run times for finish pass
See "tape splitting support" in the post processor editing guide. It chops a large file into smaller pieces, and each can be run independantly.

import each one into a separate vcarve session, then use copy and paste from the modeling tab to combine them.

What value are you using for 'cv distance tolerance' in mach3? On my machine, motion gets jerkier with very small values, much smoother with larger values.

Are all of the models in the upgrade supposed to have 3 styles? I seem to be missing some, not sure if it's something I did wrong.....

Re: Stoping and restarting a program
It's not actually stopping/starting the cnc, but you can break a really large gcode file into smaller segments with a specified number of lines that can then be run separately. See 'tape splitting support' in the post-processor guide.
