Separate last pass allowance and vacuum table
Hi all, Previously on my vacuum table I generate 2 tool paths for cutting out parts using the 'onion skin' strategy: climb cut first with 0.01 allowance and z-0.2 depth, followed by a final cut out 1 pass at full z, conventional. V8 Pro now has the option of doing this in one tool path but it always...

Re: Upgrading from Cut3D and VCarve Pro to Aspire
Thanks, gent. Apparently it was just my (faulty) assumption that credits would be given for both. I should have read the upgrade terms carefully before adding the Cut3D license. Anyway, Leo gave me a good option out. I think I'll upgrade from one (Cut3D) and resell my VCP 8 license.

I contacted Vectric today abo...

Re: Importing from Sketchup
Thanks, everyone. After getting back from Vectric support, I found that the only sure way is to color coded the the top face and use that color code during import. Very tricky to verify everything in a complex model import. On a side note, I got fast responses from Vectric customer support team. I'm...

Importing from Sketchup
I'm doing a simple import from Sketchup 2015 into VCarve Pro and got a mirrored image instead. I did not catch the error until the machining was done and the motor mount was in the wrong place. Any idea what went wrong?
