Re: 3D Rose bouquet
Thanks wood_fly. She does get regular flowers for no apparent reason. She is definitely a keeper and I want to make her happy.

Re: Golf awards and door prize
... The golf tee and ball is made of maple and is 13" tall and 5.5" wide.... A plaque of more than 2 ft. tall is some plaque for the wall. You could use that for a door! :D Looks great! HAHA, the golf ball and tee are a separate piece. The small plaques are only 7.5" tall. I guess I should have cla...

Golf awards and door prize
Once again it's that time of year for my wife to chair the local Rotary golf outing. I made her these plaques for "Closest To The Pin" "Longest Drive" and "Longest Putt" the plaques are pine and were stained dark, relief carved and then I 3D carved the golfball and tee out of maple and affixed them ...

3D Rose bouquet
Thought I could get out of buying my wife flowers in the future by carving her a set that would never die. She wasn't amused.

Re: Horse bust
would really like to see the back side of your good looking project. It's a single sided carving. Check out the horse's ear from the 'nose' view. It's deceptively deep looking, isn't it?! Very nice! How will it be used? Yes, it is a single sided carve. The co-worker that I gave it to has it sitting...

Re: Horse bust
Finished dimensions are 5.75"x4"x58" carved in maple. There's something wrong with those dimensions! :D Also, would really like to see the back side of your good looking project. (I kept wanting to grab it with my mouse and turn it just a leetle bit further around! :D ) HAHAHA, I guess I missed a "...

Re: Horse bust

Sharkcutup Sharkcutup, 1.25 hours roughing with a .25" end mill 2.5 hours finishing with a .0625 tapered ball nose 5% step-over 30 seconds for the profile with a .125 end mill Not much clean up actually. I hi...

Angel baby sleeping in the clouds
Patience is NOT normally something that is associated with me. But, on this carve, I NEVER gave up. I was able to salvage this after dropping my phone on my keyboard last weekend during the carve and stopping my machine and losing my X, Y, Z coordinates. The finished piece is 7”x6”x3/4” it’s as smoo...
